ThreadProof

Privacy policy

Draft for owner and attorney review. Last updated October 28, 2026.

What we collect

  • Your email address and purchase details (from Stripe; we never see your full card number).
  • The message export you upload: the original file, and the messages read from it (text, sender name, date and time).
  • What you type into ThreadProof, such as questions and notes.
  • On our sales page only: Meta Pixel data for advertising measurement. The Pixel is never loaded on pages that show your messages.

How we use it

To provide the service you bought: numbering, searching and organizing your own messages, and answering your questions about them. To send receipts and sign-in links. To report a purchase to Meta (event name, amount, currency and a one-way hash of your email only) so we can measure our ads.

What we never do

  • We never sell your messages or personal information.
  • We never use your messages to train AI models.
  • We never send your messages to advertisers.

Who processes your data

  • Supabase: database and private file storage.
  • Netlify: website hosting.
  • Stripe: payments.
  • Anthropic (Claude): when you ask a question, only the matching messages are sent to Anthropic’s API to write the answer. Anthropic does not train on API data.
  • Resend: email delivery.
  • Meta: ad measurement, as described above.

Retention and deletion

Your uploads are kept while your access is active and deleted after it ends unless you extend it. You can delete everything at any time; deletion is immediate and permanent. Email us and we will also delete your account.

Your rights (including California / CCPA)

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, and we will not treat you differently for asking. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the hashed purchase event described above.
